Home fashions are forever changing – I thought that occurred to me recently when I moved into a new townhouse which had been decorated about five years ago. The shiny curtains and the trendy curtain rails with clips and scrolls at the end told that this was definitely decorated around the mid 2000’s
It didn’t look bad – but it doesn’t look up to the minute either – I haven’t yet decided whether to keep it as is or redecorate in today’s interior design style. Its tempting to go with current design trends – like big-patterned wallpaper is huge at the moment. But will it look very tired in a year or two? On the other hand I really like the look of wallpaper so I might just do it anyways!
That the trick with finding your own home decorating style – you can keep up to date with current home fashions but if you follow ever fad you will forced to do it over every few years or so!
